Why it changes how you feel
Dopamine is made from tyrosine and serotonin from tryptophan, both of which come from dietary protein. When protein intake is low and erratic, the substrate for motivation and calm is low and erratic too.
Mitochondria turn food into ATP, and the brain is the most energy-hungry organ you own. Sluggish cellular energy tends to show up subjectively as low drive rather than as a physical symptom — which is why it gets mistaken for a character flaw.
Peptide signalling sits on top of this foundation, not instead of it. A peptide can nudge a repair pathway; it cannot supply amino acids you never ate.

- No. For most people, the largest gains come from consistent protein, whole foods, daylight, hydration and sleep. Peptides are a research frontier layered on top of those foundations, not a replacement for them.
